Linda G. Harvey

Linda G. Harvey, 69, of Villa Grove passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Linda was born to Andy and Lois (Nash) Owens on March 15, 1954 in Tuscola, IL.  She married Terry Harvey on November 15, 1997 in Urbana.

Linda is survived by three step-children, Brian (Kate) Harvey, Kevin (Heather) Harvey, and Kristen (Les) Hill; several step-grandchildren; one sister, Cheryl (Kenny) Rupp; two nieces, Sara Rupp and Abby (Eric) Springer; three great nieces, Ruby, Milly, and Skye; and two great nephews, Eli and Jonah; and several first cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Harvey; and parents, Andy and Lois Owens.

Linda attended and graduated from Villa Grove High School in 1972.  She worked at Indiana Bell/Ameritech in Kokomo, IN for several years before moving back to her home town Villa Grove.  She also worked for the University of Illinois as an Office Support Specialist for 24 years, pastored at Crossroads Fellowship Church in Villa Grove alongside her husband, volunteered at Stone Creek Church in Urbana, and took Berean classes to further her ministry.

Linda was always helping her family and friends with anything they needed.  She was a giver at heart and was an amazing party planner.  If there was one thing that Linda loved more than helping people, it would be animals; especially her Shelties.

A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Joines Funeral Home in Villa Grove with the funeral service beginning at 3 p.m.; Pastors Gary Grogan & Ricky Spindler will be officiating.  Burial will follow at the Centennial Cemetery in Villa Grove.
